New Spy Phone...

Cthulhu
My cell phone has been causing me trouble (the 8 and 9 keys no longer work), so  went out tonight and picked up a new phone:  a Blackberry Curve.  Yes I have entered the next millennium of cell phone usage.  Not only can I use the Internet to win arguments in bars, but I can also send 1500 text messages a month.  I guess I should develop some new textual relationships or something.

Anyway, here is a picture of my new phone (which I am in love with...it was an instantaneous reaction):   http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=BlackBerry%C2%AE+Curve+8310+-+Titanium&q_sku=sku1070078

Now I am going to have to become an international super spy to justify this purchase.

Very nice, man.

I expect a laser beam add-on coming out any month now...

The laser beam should come out of the hands-free set. It looks to me as if the ear piece was designed with that goal in mind.

Me, I'm a Nokia girl. I've had the same cell phone for--going on five years. Those things are indestructable. It has been dropped countless times, dunked in bathtubs and toilets, and generally abused. Plus I am too broke/stingy to buy a new phone.

My cell phones usually only last for a short period of time (2 years) and they often die in sad ways (a glass of red wine, run over by a car, etc.). My previous phone has no working 8 or 9 key...bad for texting AND for dialing 911.

What cell phone company are you with? It must not be Cinular/AT&T, because I've been with them for the past 15 years...and I never had the option to choose a cool Nokia phone (which, I might add, I've always wanted).

Also I should ave been more stingy about the cost of my phone, but it was either move up in the world or move back down. AT&T have removed all "deals" that allow a person to purchase a phone for less money when agreeing to a two year contract.

I'm happy with my phone right now, but I am extremely unhappy with AT&T and their decision to screw people over.

I'm with T-Mobile. Although I don't think they make the phone I have anymore--it doesn't even support Hifi ringtones, only the megatones. All the Nokias I see now are flip phones. I'm thinking about getting a landline again when I move, and getting a-pay-as-you-go phone, since I hardly ever use mine. Especially if I can bundle phone and internet service. Sheesh, you can tell I'm not a techy type huh?

You may no be tech savvy, but you know how to get the most for the least amount of money. There is alwayssomething to be said for people like you who think in terms of the value of a service or a product. Maybe you should be my purchasing consultant. I could send you purchase requisition forms nd you could decide whether or not I need to item(s) I am attempting to purchase.

It's different when you're spending your own money, is all I can say.

Agreed...and I hate paperwork. I guess I'll manage my own finances for a while.
