Prelim Update...

So two questions are finished and the last one is at the minimum required page length. Sadly, I have to edit the last question extensively...it was "supposed" to be the easiest one, but it turned out to be the toughest.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and on Monday at 9:30 AM the Prelims are due to the department secretary.

I KNOW that the first two questions are finished...and they are well-written. I have faith in my work. The final question just needs to get hammered out. Then I have a brief respite before my practice oral exam in front of my research group on Thursday. After that, I have exactly one week before my real oral exam.

And this too shall pass...

I still have not finished the tricky question. The answer seems so clear, yet it eludes me. The good news? I have half a page left to make my minimum page requirement? The bad news? I am still trying to suss out the details of that one tricky-ass question...

Oh and I have completely edited one of my questions and it is ready to go. I am halfway through my final edit of the other question.

This means that tomorrow by noon, I will be 1/2 page away from completing my Prelims. Sadly I still have a lot of work to do, because the final question needs to be completed so I can put it aside for a bit and then finish it.

All in all, I am doing well. :)

The proposal is complete. I will do a final readthrough this evening and it goes off to my committee in the morning. I was so excited that I cried a little bit upon removing the last misplaced comma earlier today. I honestly think that this is going to be one of my greatest accomplishments in life. If things go well, and there are findings, I may just become an important researcher in my field. Now I just need to pass my Prelims and then I can start working on the other areas of my life that need some degree of sorting out.
